HANNAH GILL
Pianist, organist, choral conductor, educator
Working in London and Hertfordshire, Hannah is an in-demand and flexible musician working across a huge breadth of genres
Born in Wales, Hannah trained as a pianist, organist and conductor, and has extensive experience in a wide range of professional and educational settings. Hannah has played and taught music internationally, and her performances have been broadcast on TV and radio in the UK.
Hannah studied piano at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where she graduated with First Class honours. Previously she was awarded a scholarship to study at the Junior Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, and made her concerto debut at the age of 16.
Hannah is organist at St Nicholas Harpenden and an Associate of the Royal College of Organists (ARCO). She was previously Organ Scholar at the Southbank Centre and her teachers have included Anne Marsden Thomas, Simon Williams and Robert Court.
Hannah has directed a variety of choral ensembles in a wide range of genres. She trained with the Association of British Choral Directors, and has conducted televised performances at the Choir of Wales competition and National Eisteddfod festival.
Hannah is in high demand as a piano teacher across a wide range of ages and she has taught regularly for 20 years. Teaching work is concentrated locally in St Albans as well as at Haberdashers' Girls' School. Hannah is a Grade Examiner and Reviewer for ABRSM.
